Thank You to the Detkin Intellectual Property and Technology Legal Clinic
We wrapped up last semester working with the Detkin Intellectual Property and Technology Legal Clinic (DIPTC) through the Gittis Legal Clinics at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, and want to share our huge thanks to Cynthia Dahl (Practice Professor of Law, Penn Carey Law; Director, Detkin Intellectual Property and Technology Legal Clinic) and our student counselor for running such a high-quality program and creating a great experience for early-stage companies.
We worked with one of the clinic’s law students and were consistently impressed by their professional, responsive, and thoughtful work product which exceeded our expectations. What stood out most was the clinic’s educational approach. We didn’t just receive outputs; we came away with a clearer internal understanding of how to navigate IP decisions as a startup.
Early-stage companies are always balancing execution with learning. This program genuinely supported both, with strong organization, clear communication, and great scope discipline throughout.
If you’re an entrepreneur or small business trying to get your feet under you and you qualify for clinic support, I’d strongly recommend looking into the Gittis Legal Clinics and the Detkin Intellectual Property and Technology Legal Clinic.
